Good day
(Please read in conjunction with the table below)
One of our KPI is to have all side-line personnel servicing SARU and WR matches upskilled and issue a form of a certificate of compliance.
We are in the process of having these courses accredited but the process is delayed due to the impact of Covid-19.
However, we received permission to deliver the current content and issue a SARU “certificate of attendance” upon completion of the various modules – see attachment.
In short, the appointee would then need this certificate to be considered for side-line duties to any SARU and or WR fixtures/tournaments.
Below is a short extract regarding the rollout and certification process:
“SARU Delivery:
- Society educators/training portfolio holder will have a short orientation of the material
o All material is available on www.sareferees.com (RESOURCES/EDUCATIONAL)
- Data base of all side-line personnel, per province, maintained by the Office
Society Delivery:
- Prerequisites:
o World Rugby training portal – attendees need to complete this before attending the RSA course
o Societies keep records of these WR awareness certificate – uploaded on footprint
- Presentation room or web-based presentation of the material
o Attendance Register sent to the Office
o Society maintained a data base
- SARU Referees Department issue a “Certificates of Attendance”, valid for two years, based on the register submitted – uploaded on footprint
Kindly assist with the implementation of the SL upskilling process.
Any assistance required; we are happy to assist.
Implementation Date: 1 March 2021
